<p><span class="entry">25 November 2010</span><br />
So, myself and Jon Foulger have spent the last month working on our own interpretations of some traditional British folk songs. Our first outing as a two-piece is at the Church of St Peter in Evercreech on Saturday &#8211; we hope to see you there, and for those that won&#8217;t be, I&#8217;ll be uploading a video soon, providing I can get the technology to work&#8230;</p>

</span>I&#8217;m afraid to say that Nina Nastasia has had to cancel her UK tour due to ill health, so I won&#8217;t be playing with her on 5th December. The gig will be re-scheduled soon though, so I&#8217;ll keep you posted! x</p>

</span>I&#8217;ve just been asked to support British Sea Power at the Brudenell Social Club tonight &#8211; it&#8217;s sold out but I hope to see some friendly faces down there!</p>

</span>Just a reminder that we&#8217;ll be playing at Harrogate Fringe Festival tomorrow, 8pm at St Peter&#8217;s Church. We&#8217;ve been working on a new song, &#8216;Eloise&#8217;, which will be getting its first airing, and we&#8217;ll be heading over to catch Honour Before Glory at Montey&#8217;s Rock Cafe afterwards. We do hope you&#8217;ll join us.</p>
<p>In other news, we&#8217;ve just been asked to open for Charlie Parr at Nation of Shopkeepers on Monday 13th September&#8230;</p>

</span>Things have been a bit quiet round these parts lately, mainly down to the fact that I&#8217;ve just completed a degree in Graphic Arts and Design which has taken up most of my free time! But fear not, I&#8217;m working on some new songs and am looking forward to getting back into the swing of things.</p>

</span>I&#8217;m very much looking forward to playing my first gig of the decade on Sunday, where the full band will be joining me, charango and all. The full line-up for Live At Leeds has been announced today. I (along with Bruce and Lins) will be playing at the Holy Trinity Church at 2pm and will be spending the rest of the day running between Joseph&#8217;s Well, The Holy Trinity Church and The Cockpit at an alarming rate. The release date for The Green Room EP has now been set as Monday 23rd February. It&#8217;ll be up for pre-order soon! In celebration of the forthcoming release of my new EP, I&#8217;ve re-designed my website, hope you like it! The EP is being pressed as we speak, and will be out soon. I&#8217;ll also be uploading a video for I See Horses Flee in the next few days&#8230;.</p>

<p>I recorded it with the wonderful James Kenosha in Bridlington, it was mastered by Napoleon iiird, and it features Bruce Renshaw on drums and Lindsay Wilson on bass, with a special guest appearance from Tom Fleming of Wild Beasts fame on I See Horses Flee. I&#8217;ll let you know more details and when it&#8217;ll be out soon!<br />

The days that I&#8217;m playing at Leeds and Reading Festival have just been confirmed &#8211; I&#8217;ll be playing on the Festival Republic stage at midday on Friday 22nd August in Reading and on Saturday 23rd August in Leeds.</p>

Well who&#8217;d have thought it&#8230;. I won the Futuresound competition to play at Leeds and Reading Festival on August bank holiday! I&#8217;ll be opening the Festival Republic stage at Leeds and Reading &#8211; I&#8217;ll put the dates up as soon as I know them. Thanks so much to everyone who came to the gig at the Cockpit and showed their support, it really meant a lot to me. I&#8217;ve has been picked as one of the finalists for the Futuresound competition this year, the prize being a place on the bill at Leeds and Reading Festival. I&#8217;ll be playing a gig as part of the competition. Please come along and show your support!</p>

It&#8217;s a live recording of a medley of two of my favourite songs, Dedicated to the One I Love and Hymne A L&#8217;Amour, recorded on Saturday night at the wonderful Globe in Glossop.
